Aarushi murder: Raj Kumar subjected to narco-analysis test

New Delhi, July 9 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Wednesday subjected Raj Kumar, arrested in connection with the murder of teenaged Aarushi and her family help Hemraj in Noida, to a second narco-analysis test. “Raj Kumar, who is in our custody, was subjected to a narco-analysis test at the FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) in Bangalore today,” a CBI official said.

However, investigators remained tight-lipped about the questions put up to Raj Kumar in the second narco-analysis test.

Raj Kumar was the domestic help of Praful and Anita Durrani, family friends of Aarushi’s dentist parents - Nupur and Rajesh Talwar. The CBI arrested Raj Kumar following the recovery of a blood-stained T-Shirt and a bicycle from his home.

Aarushi, 14, was found dead in her Jal Vayu Vihar home in Noida May 16. The Noida police initially named the Talwars’ domestic help Hemraj as the prime suspect, but had to retract after his body was found the next day on the terrace of the house.

Aarushi’s father Rajesh Talwar was arrested May 23 and police said he killed his daughter in a fit of rage as he objected to her alleged closeness with Hemraj.

A second arrest in the case was made June 13 when the CBI held Talwar’s compounder Krishna.

The case has only turned murkier with every passing day and the CBI has yet not been able to establish the motive behind the murders.
